I know I shouldn't be upset about this..
.. but I kinda am a little disappointed.
My youngest child wanted to give me a birthday surprise so he had my husband take the training wheels off his bike and teach him to ride a 2 wheeler yesterday
And when I got home he was soooo excited he flung himself into my arms and demanded I go outside that very second. So I did and he got his bike and showed me how fast he could ride.
And it was great! He did so well.
And my heart broke just a little. My baby reached another milestone - albeit a minor one - and I wasn't there.
I know he did it for me. And I showed the appropriate gratitude to both him and my husband for teaching him. But it still sucks.
That's all.

But think of what an AWESOME mother you are to have a son who thinks of such a wonderful intangible gift that would make his mommy so proud!
