I know someone who can get me 40% off of Louis Vuitton!!!
My prayers have been answered!!!
I have been planning to use any gift money towards a new bag since i wanted one so badly, and now I'll be a little over halfway there sooner!!!
so - which one should I get?

OK - this is the classic one, and I like it - the Speedy...
The Neverfull seems like a nice versatile bag that I culd also use for work, so I'm leaning toward this one as well...
Those are the 2 that grab me...

I have the Damier speedy 30.
I love it, its perfect and it holds everything.
Getting an LV is a great choice!!!
The canvas is amazing I have to say it.
I stupidly put leftover sushi (in container) while in a rush to get to work well soy sauce spilled out and all over half of the bottom of my bag. IT was stained and smelly.
Well I followed LV reps suggestions and now over a week later the stain (inside) isn't visible. The outside never got affected by it and smell gone
The one you posted is the 25 its smaller than gthe 30, but if you don't carry a lot then its the better option. For me I needed the 30, because between wallet, makeup case, sunglasses case and sometimes daily planner I needed it bigger.
Now this 40% discount can you share it lol

I really dislike speedys. I hate how they lose their shape. I saw about 3 Neverfulls he other day and they are really nice.

Don't get me wrong, I love my Speedy, but I wish I would have gotten a different one now looking back. Its big....no real pockets, I call it my bottomless pit....lord knows if my cell phone rings, I never get to it in time to answer. Practically, it doesn't work well for me, I would have preferred to get the Neverfill.

I just got my first Louis Vuitton bag. It's the Montorgueil PM. I love the shape. The salesperson at LV said that it came out about a month ago. I also love the Saleya, which comes in their checkerboard type pattern. My bag is the monogram pattern.

I vote for the Montorgueil-- just got mine 2 weeks ago and I love it. My other fave LV is the mini looping bag, but I'm not sure if that one is still being offered.

When my sister worked at Chanel (corporate) she got 60% off outlet and make up, and at special sales they held. Not sure what her discount was at the regular store.
but she also had 40% off at their affiliates, Eres was one that comes to mind (b.c I shopped there with her ) but the point is, luxury stores extend a discount to their partner stores that are NOT equal to what they give to their employees.

I'm not sure how she gets it - its through a friend of hers who has some awesome job - and even at 40%, it will be a while until I can save the money for it, unless I get the money I'm planning on getting for a conference I'm presenting at...
but I need to buy other necessities first, so we will see... It really is such a "want" versus a "need" that I still am having trouble thinking of getting this for myself, so its on the "we'll see" list.
After all my financial struggles, I think of the time when getting something basic for my child was difficult. Now that things are going better, I don't want to be stupid with my money, so I really want to save up my gift money for it. I will feel less guilty about that....

ITA- employees don't even get that type of discount. Their discount is small and limited to older styles only. They can't get LE items or new releases. LV also has no outlets and NEVER goes on sale. Some of the other luxury brands are sold at outlets, etc. so naturally they offer larger discounts to their employees. LV notsomuch. I'd be skeptical -you don't want to end up with a knock off.
But in regards to the speedy, it is a true classic- Audrey Hepburn had one! I've got the 25 in the monogram canvas, damier canvas, and the epi leather. You do need to store them stuffed otherwise they will lose their shape after time.
