I know this has been asked before, but double stroller question again....
What does one do with their single stroller? Is it worth keeping? I have an Ingelsina Zippy which I love - and the carrycot piece that makes it a pram. Clearly, I can't use this with 2 under 2. Do most sell their first stroller or hang on to it for when you need a single?
Also, looking for a double stroller suggestion. I guess I'm considering the Sit N Stand for the Snap and Go option.
2 is due in November so I'm not sure how much I'll get out over the winter.
I currently have 2 snap n gos - should I sell them both? Hang on to one?
They will be 19 + months apart so I def. need a double.
Also, for shopping, I was thinking about just putting the new one in a sling and DS is the shopping cart. Does this work or do I just plan to shop without children?
TIA for opinions.

a word to the wise...just check the sit and stand you look at....put a car seat in and see if your dc can sit comfortably...we saw one w ealmost bought but dd would have had to sit leaning slighly foraward when the car seat was in...(if that makes sense....the car seat needed the seat to be back further cutting into her space!)

Re: I know this has been asked before, but double stroller question again....
I'm getting a Graco double front to back stroller. I don't want a sit and stand personally. I also want to be able to use my Graco car seat that came with my travel system again. It won't match but to me that's the beauty of #2 - I care much less about my car seat matching my stroller (think I got barely 6 months out of my infant car seat before I had to get a convertable b/c DD was too long for it).
I am keeping the metrolite stroller b/c I'm sure one day only #2 will be the only one in a stroller and DD can walk along side - I have a single umbrella stroller I love as well that I can use when appropriate. I'll invest in a double umbrella stroller next summer since DD will only be 2. I guess if you do a sit and stand you don't need to keep it, but I'm not sure.

While Erik was in the infant seat, I always had my double and the snap & go in the car. I used the snap & go often to run in and out of stores (short trips that didn't require Ella also be in a stroller). My double (Bumbleride Indie Twin) can hold an infant seat.
I would definitely hold on to your single too.

Re: I know this has been asked before, but double stroller question again....
I just replaced my Pliko P3 a few weeks ago with a McClaren and my oldest is 3 and my youngest is 21 months. My stroller and infant carrier I used as a travel system so it was great when I went by myself with one of them or #2 on the weekends. I actually used my single a lot more than I thought I would. If we went out as a family food shopping or to target we always put #2 in the stroller. As for food shopping, the sling was good until the baby got a little bigger because then it just got uncomfortable bending to put stuff on the belt. I use to also put #2 in the basket and #1 in the front for some shopping and piled the food around the infant carrier. As for double strollers First I had a Mountain Buggy Urban Double and it pushed like a dream. I even bought the carseat adapter for it. Well #1 was 15 months when I got the stroller and he hated it because it was bucket seats and he couldn't sit up. I hated the fact that it didn't lock up when you closed it. After 6 weeks I sold it on Craigslist. My next stroller was the Graco Quattro duo. It served it's purpose for 10 months but it was getting heavy to push. I didn't have a graco infant carrier so that was annoying taking the baby in and out but I did it. I sold that when #1 was 25 months old and DD was 10 months. My next was a sit and stand and I use that now still. Looking back I wish I kept the double jogger because #1 all of sudden enjoys sitting in the stroller and the sit n stand STINKS for walks. I swear one of the wheels are going to pop off one of these days.

Re: I know this has been asked before, but double stroller question again....
My DC are a little over 12 months apart. My DD was born at the end of October and I did not by a double stroller until a few weeks ago. Besides my double stroller I also have the Inglesina zippy and the carry cot, a Chico light weight stroller, and the Snap n' Go. Over the past few months I have used them all. Often when it was my DH and I we would put my DD in the snap n go, or the carry cot on the Inglesinsa when she was younger, and my DS in my lightweight stroller. Now that my DD is 5 months we are starting to use the Baby Jogger City Mini. My DS likes to fall asleep int he strolller so I needed to get something that was very comfortable for both my DC.
I know what you mean about what to do with the other strollers. I am going to keep mine for now. if you run an errand with just one child it is good to still have the single stroller. Also if you put one in a carrier on your body you could wheel the other one in the single stroller. There also may be times where ti si more convenient to put each of them in there own stroller. I am just not read to give up any of my strollers.

I did the same. Some trips called for the Snap N Go and others warranted the double.

Thanks, I would love to be able to use my carrycot for the zippy but not sure this baby will ever get in it being that I'm due in November and by the time I'm taking neighborhood walks, he or she will likely be too big for it. It's a shame - I love that thing.
