I know this has probably been posted a MILLION times before but humor me
What age did you start to offer table foods? Like yogurt, pancakes, waffles, cheerios, meats, etc?

We started this with DD at 8 months. She still doesn't have any teeth at 9 months so I try to be careful with larger pieces.

Started yogurt, puffs and maybe cheese at 6 months. By 8 months we started with pancakes, eggs, pastina or anything that's soft. By 10 months she pretty much ate anything and everything.

I think it was around 8 or 9 months. I know by 12 months he was full on eating because he had the food served for his party.

I just don't know how this will work with him since he has a milk protein allergy. I have a call into my ped, I need to know what I can feed him and when based on the allergy
thanks all

Re: I know this has probably been posted a MILLION times before but humor me
I started the twins on yogurt last week at 6 1/2 months. Not sure when I'll do the rest. I think I'll ask the doctor at their next visit which is next week.
It's so bad but I have no idea when I started my older son on any of this!!!

Re: I know this has probably been posted a MILLION times before but humor me
DD is 7 1/2 months and we have given her the puffs, eggs, pastina. I haven't done soft cheese yet even though the doctor said we could. I am going to give it a try this weekend.

I started TJ on solids later because he didnt cut his first tooth until 10 1/2, almost 11 months so I was afraid he would choke. I remmber giving him yo baby yogurt pretty young and things he could mush like puffs.

Re: I know this has probably been posted a MILLION times before but humor me
6 months old and my DD LOVED everything.............cheese, yogurt, scrambled eggs, pancakes, shredded chicken, etc. etc.
Edit - My DD had NO teeth until right before her first birthday. Just as an FYI - they don't need teeth to eat solids. Their "gumming" is just as strong as chewing with teeth and since you're only giving them soft foods you don't have to worry about them not breaking it down enough.

Re: I know this has probably been posted a MILLION times before but humor me
We were advised by our ped not to give any table food until dd got teeth. She didn't get teeth until almost 10 months so that's when we started with soft foods/puffs...etc
We did have her try yogurt at 6 months per the ped but she had a reaction so we waited until she was one whole milk to try it again.
