Yes!!! In a blender, pour in a drained can of garbanzo beans, some tahini (sesame butter), garlic clove, lemon juice, salt and pepper. Blend! Add more or less of certain ingrediants to taste.

DH is Israeli, so Hummus is a staple in our house... I love it, but there's only so much hummus one can eat without getting a little sick of it!

Athenos and those other store brands are definitely not the real deal! Those of you who love it would LOOOOVE the real stuff!

How odd to see this post! I am eating Roasted Garlic Hummus with Tostitos Gold right now! Didn't have any pitas in the house to make pita chips, then it would be perfect.
FYI- Smart Source Coupons had a printable coupons for Tribe Hummus this week.
I would love to try that recipe, I have everything but the Tahini - can you get that at the supermarket? Or more of a specialty store?

My mom had first introduced it to me when she brought some home from work, she used to work in Brooklyn Heights. They had great Middle Eastern shops there, it was always a treat when she brought home some fresh hummus (or Babaghanoush (sp) ) with pitas!
