I made incredible slow cooker ribs last night...here is recipe!
I had this saved awhile ago and DH bought ribs at the grocery store yesterday, so we made them tonight. Absolutely delicious! We added a dash of Thai chili paste instead of chili sauce and they came out awesome! Thank you for posting this years ago!

I made incredible slow cooker ribs last night...here is recipe!
I made this tonight and they were great! I tried ribs for the first time (I know, I know, but I never tried pork until a few years ago) this weekend and knew I had to try these. I did a few things differently, but not by much.
I used a rub (Neely's rub recipe from Food Network) on the ribs and then put them in the oven with the rub to roast (I did convection at 400) for 10 mins a side or until brown. I then roughly cut up an onion and put that on the bottom of the crock pot. I made the sauce slightly different, but not by much. I add some garlic powder and a minced clove of garlic. I used Bull's Eye BBQ sauce and mixed it with a homemade BBQ sauce I needed to use up (Neely's recipe). I also added a few splashes Worcestershire sauce.
Now, I'm not sure if I got baby back ribs or not. Since I never made them in the US, I don't really know exactly how they should look. The Germans butcher their meat differently. I got something called "Thin Ribs". I think they may be a type of smaller spare rib after looking on the web. I have heard baby backs are not so easy to find here, and I found it in the supermarket, which leads me to think, they are a slightly different cut here.
Anyway, I cooked them for 4 hours on high and a half hour on low. I opened up the lid twice to switch the top with the bottom pieces. I was short on time so I had to do high. My crock pot also doesn't run too hot.
After the crock pot, I threw them on the grill for a few minutes on each side. I like the crispy crust. I basted a little bit more BBQ sauce on them.
They were tender and delicious! My husband moaned, too. He's pretty new to the world of rib any type of food, too. They don't do ribs in Australia.
This should be renamed the moaning husband rib recipe ;)

I think I’ve had this bookmarked since it was posted & made it for the first time the other night lol
It was beyond delicious & so easy! I got the baby back ribs from Trader Joe’s & used their Kansas City BBQ sauce. So good!
