I am not going to debate this issue further b/c I will not change anybody's minds, nor will you ever be able to change my mind.
EXACTLY......
Nobodys mind will change. I may be pro-choice...but that doesn't make me any less of a person in Gods eyes than the next...
You maybe be pro-life...based on that, no you are not ignorant..
Posting this post on TTC board...was IGNORANT.

I didn't post this on the TTC board. Also, I am responding on the FHF board and I think this topic is appropriate on this board. I think that is a red herring but thanks for not calling me ignorant and self righteous for having an opinion that differs with yours.

i am very much aware that you didn't post this on the TTC board...
I also realize that you didn't post this thread at all..but rather on it.
But what i do think is that peoples outrage and anger is coming from the fact that this was in fact posted on the TTC board...I think post after post says that over and over...and that is the point being driven home....
But you are welcome..

Posting on the TTC board wasn't necessary. I didn't see it there but, as I said before, I don't see anything wrong with posting it here. I suppose we can't get over that and have a reasonable and mature debate over an important issue on this board because of that judgment error? Oh well!
By the way...harping on that judgment error and not addressing the heart of the issue reminds me of a saying a judge I clerked for would say: "When a party can't argue the substantive merits in support of their cause, they must resort to arguing mere procedural technicalities."
Also, as far as the name calling that another poster resorted too.... I always thought that name calling was the province of those lacking in class, maturity and intelligence. It doesn't bother me....though I am somewhat disappointed that in this "caring community where people can share opinions," (Blah, blah, blah), there was only one poster to defend me.
As a final note, if you are sick and tired of this thread...stop reading it. OK..my son is waking up...gotta go!
Have a nice day!

Woodsy - Just wanted to add that I 100% agree with and support your posts. I posted similarly on the thread on the TTC board. You are right - there is no *real* debate on these two threads. I'm chalking it up to the fact that this may not be a topic for an internet chat board.

I didn't say anything about the post here...I answered it. DIdn't know that this thread was posted for us to debate but just a cheesy FYI i guess...
And you may call it harping on a jugdement error...
I call it exactly what you called the person who resorted to name calling, lacking in class, maturity and intelligence. Not to mention just lacking a little COMMON SENSE.
This board has more than caring posters...It has a whole family of them...we may not all like each other, we may not all agree....BUT CARING and CONCERN and SUPPORT...THAT IS ONE THING THAT IS UNDENYABLE HERE.
And i never said i was sick and tired of this thread....
But you did say, i think 2 posts or yours back, that you were done with the thread

Re: I might ruffle feathers with this, but......
I am very confused....(Saw this a bit late) Waterspout posted this article...then....woodsy defends water spouts position....then woodsy at the end came on and said she originally didnt mean to post it on ttc....so does this mean that woodsy and waterspout are the same person trying to defend the same point?

Re: I might ruffle feathers with this, but......
It is a humbling experience to look back and realize that God used me to play a role in His divine orchestration.
A little high on ourselves, arent we?
don't you think God has better things to do at this point in time???? And better people to work his divine intervention thru?
Like - people who are sick, dying, and truly in pain? I'm pretty sure God is not all about propoganda....

Re: I might ruffle feathers with this, but......
Im pro life but I do believe that some people have there reasons for what they do and we should not judge just follow our own beliefs. I do feel the story has no point and that in some ways you did use this person to further your beliefs. Would she have been invited to sing just on the basis she was a wonderful person and musician? I dont know if I believe the story myself.

here's a debate for you... my opinion is that you'll see dead babies in trash cans everyday on the news if Roe v Wade is overturned. do you have any clue what it was like when abortion was illegal and women died horrible deaths from back alley abortions?
IMO, people like you (self righteous) are NOT pro life, you are ANTI CHOICE!

Can I have the Cliffs Notes for this post?
Why is it that a when previous poster on another board posted a long story about why we should all embrace pregancy termination received tears, praise, thank yous and attentive readers, however when a pro-life person posts a pro-life story, it is met with "where are the cliff notes for this post", this isn't a real story and that pro-life people are self righteous, ect?
Yes, I am anti-choice, that is why I am pro-life, I do not feel it is in our hands to decide who gets to live and who gets to die. We cannot control what others believe, nor can we change anyones mind. We can simply state our opinions and respect others beliefs.
I don't belive that boards like this should go away, some people like to debate these topics, however, it is best to not post them were people might take offense.

I believe the reason was that this same post was posted on the TTC board and then the OP made some nasty comments to people when she was told that the TTC board was not the place to post it.
The issue was resolved with the OP. I don't think it was the message that people were not liking but it's the original way that the message that it was delivered. The other thread I believe has been removed but if you had that to read it might make more sense. But that is the reason.

Re: I might ruffle feathers with this, but......
No ruffles here. WOW, that is pretty powerful. I am a definate right to lifer, for my own reasons and moral upbringing. When people ask me why, or question I simply tell them, "everything is in God's hands, if he wills a life then it is, if he chooses to tkae someone home, even an infant, then who can argue." In my mind I don't debate two things, religion and politics, I will discuss, but I won't bend.

you do have a point lipglossjunkie, but everyone has there reasons for what they do. IT is a touchy subject and you can not debate. It is what makes the country what it is.
