Not sure what you need a blender for but if its just milk shakes/small batches, I LOVE my Magic Bullet.

I have the Cuisinart food processor -- I actually have the big one (I think it's 10 cups) and a mini one for chopping small amounts of things like nuts, garlic, onion, etc. I like them both and they've held up well over time.

When my blender broke, I bought a new one (I think it was Hamilton Beach), and I never liked it that much. It leaked, it didn't blend things that well, etc.

Then, I got the Cuisinart immersion stick blender, and I find that so much more useful. I make a lot of soups, sauces, dressings, and rather than transferring things in batches to a blender (and then having to wash it), I just use the immersion blender right in the pot or bowl I am using. The part with the blade is dishwasher safe, and it also comes with other accessories, such as a whisk attachment to whip cream or egg whites. I have Kitchen Aid stand mixer that I love, but for a small amount of cream or egg whites, the immersion blender is useful.

So I would recommend considering an immersion blender, if you don't already have one, as a replacement for your traditional blender. I still have a regular blender, but NEVER use it.

I do have an immersion blender & love it!

I want a blender for smoothies & such.

My food processor is small, but I'll keep for small stuff. I need it for bigger recipes.

I have a Ninja pulse and it's brilliant. The one thing I really like about it is that the stick with the blades has one blade at th bottom like a normal processor and one in the middle so everything gets blended really well. I got mine off of QVC, I really like it. Is duck egg blue.

I did hear of this....but need to learn more. So it really can be used as both?! Interesting!

Ooooh, I should have said that the Ninja Pulse also come with a thingy like the bullet blender, a cup with a blade on the bottom. They have a website, I just don't know how to link to it on my iPad. I really like mine.
