Re: I need a good turkey meatloaf recipe!
I have never made this with just turkey, but I do a mixture of either ground beef, or ground bison with Turkey sausage. I am sure if you use the ground turkey, it will taste just as yummy!
Ingredients: 2 Teaspoons of Vegetable oil 1 small yellow onion, chopped 1/4 cup of milk 1 cup bread crumbs 3/4 cup of Ketchup 4 Teaspoons Worcestershire sauce 1 lb ground meat (You can just up the recipe for two lbs. I did it a couple of weeks ago) 8 ounce ground breakfast sausage 1 egg, beaten 1 1/4 Teaspoons Mrs. Dash seasoning mix 1/2 Teaspoon Garlic powder
Preheat oven to 350 F Heat the oil in a medium skillet over medium-heat. Add the onion and cook until tender. Transfer to a large bowl
Combine the milk and bread crumbs in a small bowl and set aside. Combine 1/4 cup of the ketchup and 2 teaspoons of the Worcestershire sauce in another small bowl and set aside.
Add the ground meat, sausage, the remaining ketchup and Worcestershire sauce, the egg, seasoning mix, garlic powder, and bread crumbs to the bowl with the onions. Mix until just incorporated.
Mound the meat in a loaf pan. Bake for 45 minutes. Remove from oven and pour off some of the fat. Spread the Ketchup mixture over the top. Bake about 30 minutes more, or till meat thermometer says done.
It seems more complicated then it is. It really is delicious!

Re: I need a good turkey meatloaf recipe!
holy cow- get a box of the lipton onion soup mix, and follow the directions on the back-ridiculously easy!
the last step should say "glaze ketchup over the top of the meatloaf before putting it in the oven"- well, my cousin told me to add some brown sugar to the ketchup before you glaze it over the turkey. it was awesome!

Re: I need a good turkey meatloaf recipe!
This one is a winner:
INGREDIENTS:
1/4 cup packed brown sugar
1/4 cup ketchup
1/4 Jack Daniels BBQ sauce
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 1/2 pounds lean ground beef (I use turkey)
1/2 cup milk
1 egg
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
1/2 onion, chopped
1 pack. of onion soup
1 pack of sazon
2 cloves of garlic
1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
3/4 cup finely crushed saltine cracker crumbs(I use Ritz crackers)
DIRECTIONS:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Lightly grease a 5x9 inch loaf pan.
2. In a mixing bowl, mix thoroughly all ingredients (EXCEPT the sugar, ketchup and BBQ sauce) and shape into a loaf.
3. Mix the brown sugar, ketchup and BBQ sauce (I also added 1 tbs of Worcestershire sauce to this mix). And spread over the loaf.
4. Bake in preheated oven for 1 hour or until juices are clear.
Serve with mashed potatoes!

Re: I need a good turkey meatloaf recipe!
1 ½ lbs lean ground turkey
1 cup 4C seasoned bread crumbs
1 cup tomato sauce
1 egg, beaten
½ cup barbecue sauce
2 tablespoons brown sugar
I put in a pinch of onion powder and salt and pepper.
Mix everything except the BBQ sauce and brown sugar in a bowl, form into a loaf
Preheat oven to 350, bake for 30 minutes. While baking mix the BBQ sauce and brown sugar in a bowl. After 30 minutes take out the meat loaf and put the BBQ mixture on it. Bake for another 30 minutes
