I need prayers and sticky dust *UPDATE*
As some of you know, I posted on Monday very upset b/c there was no heartbeat at my first sono. I concieved somewhere between July 21-July 24th.
The doctor reassured me that it was too soon to see the hb, and I would need to come back in a week. I have to travel next week, so I asked to switch the appt. They said Yes. While on the phone with the nurse, I asked her to look at my chart, and explained my concerns about the heartbeat.
She said while it may be too early to see the HB, my HCG levels did not look too good, and I shouldn't get my hopes up. She said she does not think it is a viable pregnancy b/c in 4 days, my levels only went from 2937 to 6,300....and they should be doubling every 48 hours and they are not.
I am hysterical right now. Let's pray that the doctor and the first nurse, who said it was too soon, were right. I'm going for more blood work and a sono tomorrow morning.
*UPDATE*
Girls----thank you so much for your thoughts and sticky dust. I went to the doctor this morning, and there is still no heartbeat. HOWEVER, there is a yolk and a fetal pole that were not there on Monday!
So, there is definitely some action going on in there. The doctor said that I am 6 weeks, 4 days. he said it could go either way, and I need to stop thinking so much b/c at this point it really is out of our control. I will go back again on Tuesday, and at that time we will know for sure. Hopefull then, we will see a heartbeat. Do you think it is still a good sign that we saw the growth of a fetal pole and a yolk sak in just 3 days? I think so. I have to keep hoping. Please keep sending me sticky dust. its helping my head. I have so many emotions right now plus all the hormones.... Thanks everyone

Too soon to tell- Nurses SHOULD NOT give you medical information like that- I wouldn't listen and just pray that its ok.

That nurse really shouldn't have given your her "opinion" and that's all it was. Try to stay positive (as hard as that is) until you know more.

DO NOT listen to the nurse!! She isn't your doctor! And just so you know... as your HCG levels increase into the thousands, the number does not double at the same rate as it does in the beginning. I would tell your doctor at the next appt that the nurse is giving out medical opinions!!

So glad that you saw the sac and fetal pole! That is definitely a good sign!! And no HB at 6w4d is totally reasonable. Try and relax this weekend. Much prayers and many hugs for Tuesday's appt!! Keep us updated!
