I need some advice regarding ending the interview process with a company. TIA
I was being seriously consdered by 2 companies at the same time.
Company A is a great company & the job responsibilities seem fun & I would enjoy my job. The people that I met on my interview were very nice. The salary is ok but there is hardly any overtime work & the job seems fun. It's 4k less than what I made at my last job. They called & offered me the job this morning & I accepted. I start Dec 1st but I didn't sign anything yet.
Company B is also a great company. I had been on 2 interviews with them. My potential boss works permanently out of state while i'd be here. The job seems great but could be challenging due to the fact that the head works out of state & will be going on maternity leave soon. I don;t know what the salary is but I have a feeling that they would probably match what I made at my last company. They just sent me an email at 6pm asking me if I would go out of state for the 3rd interview to meet with the head.
I feel really bad & guilty because they have been so nice to me & I have had great contact with them the entire time. How can I stop the process without looking like a jerk? I would have to call first thing in the AM so that I do not further waste their time.

Re: I need some advice regarding denying a job offer. TIA
I would just tell them that you appreciate their time but that you have found something else.

Re: I need some advice regarding denying a job offer. TIA
thanks. I just feel bad & feel like I need to explain why I made my decision & I don't want to be grilled for my decision.
(this happened to me last year also.. I was offered 2 jobs on the same day & job I didn't accept grilled me & wanted to know why the other job was better )
