I need some advise.....

The situation is ... I have been at my current job for 6 months.... I took a pay cut to come here because I was promised the world... Now 6 months later I have not gotten what I have been promised and have been job hunting. I found a position that I was offered making the salary I want plus........... And they want me to start right away.... Now do I respect my currrent employer and give him the 2 weeks I'm supposed to or do I shaft him like he's been doing to me for the last 6 months and tell him my last day will be Friday....???? Advise PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!

I think you really have to give the 2 weeks. The old saying "don't burn any bridges" I think is true. No matter how you feel about the job.

ITA, give the 2 weeks. It will show your new employer that you have respect for them when the time comes for you to move on again.

i'd give my two weeks if i were you. don't stoop to your boss' level.

And (a former employer once said this to me when she pushed to have me start immediately and I told her 2 wks.), it might portray you badly to your new boss if s/he sees that you didn't give your old one notice.
