I need some friends! HELP!
I'm 23 and had DD in October. I'm wondering how many other younger moms are out there and what you do for fun.
I'm having a hard time trying to find mommy groups or other mom's in my area (Ronkonkoma). I've checked out some groups but either all the mom's are older and ignore me or none have kids as young as DD so I feel kinda weird.
Just because I'm 23 doesn't mean I'm less of a mom and just because DD is only 8 weeks old doesn't mean that I'm not interested in meeting other moms in my area!!  
All I want is a couple of down to earth mom friends who I can hang out with, share mom stories and live near me...age doesn't matter to me but I guess it does to some people. I never knew it was going to be so hard!! 
So anyone out there want a friend? Cause I sure do!!!

hi krissy, im krissy too.. well kristen really.. lol. im 25 and DD is 4.. so i hear you on the age thing. i live in commack... i dont really do much for fun though lol i am planning my wedding (fh is not dd's father) which is feb 23rd.. so things have been kind of hectic with that lately... anyway, wanna be friends? lolol

My name is Kelly and I live in Middle Island. I am 32 and DS is 4 months. I don't think age matters. Once you become a mom, we're all the same sleep-deprived age.
We're just beginning some GTGs in and around Smithaven Mall. Our next batch will be in January. I will be posting more about the GTGs next week once I get back from being upstate.

Hi!! Im 28 dd is almost 8 mths and i live in holbrook...im close by and as a sahm esp could use some close friends!

I think that because you are a young mom, you might have to be more assertive when you meet the older moms. I am an older mom and I think I might just assume that a younger mom has no interest in hanging with me. I'll be at a Smithhaven GTG soon and I promise I won't snub any of the moms!!!!!
