I need some help again - sleep related
My DS is becoming a nightmare when it comes to sleeping. He used to be sooooo easy. Drop in the crib awake at 7:30 and sleep until 6 - 6:30, eat, go back to bed until 7:30 - 8.
NOW what a nightmare. He screams every night when we put him down. We are VERY routine people so it's the same old same old every night. Bath, books, bottle, bed. Why is he screaming so much??? But that's not even the real problem.
He's 10 months old and STILL gets up twice a night to eat. He SLEPT through the night from 3 months until about 6 months when he started teething. He popped out 6 teeth. He is not a big eater at all during the day. Between ear infections & bad reactions to the meds and his constipation issues I think his tummy always hurts and he is so hungry at night he finally eats. BUT I work and this getting up 2 times a night is KILLING me.
He's better now and we started letting him cry, but he gets hysterical. We decreased the oz's in the bottle, but then he wakes up for another one. If you have any advice or suggestions please please please give it. I'll try anything. Be as specific as you can. I never had to do CIO or deal with this my DD so it's all new to me!!
Thanks

I have no advice, just empathy. I'm going through the same thing. Erik is the same age, and has never been a good sleeper - he still gets up 2-3 times a night (on a good night!).
I'm trying CIO/sleep training with him this week. I need sleep!

Thanks for responding Lisa. I'm sorry to hear you are in the same boat. It's a stinky boat to in!! I'm already getting anxiety about going to sleep and being woken up all night. I feel like I have a newborn again

Poor thing - I have no idea what could have caused this change- I bet your instincts are right though...
I just sent MommyAgain who is going through a similar scenario with night feedings the link below. Its about weaning off of night feedings. I'm not sure if it will work in your case, but hey its worth a shot...
Here is a link to the video on amazon - sadly its out of stock right now, but I borrowed it from jericho library. (if you llive in nassau, you can borrow it from there.) Its about CIO mostly, but there is a section about weaning off of night feedings. It did work for us..within a matter of days. (I won't deny that it was not fun at all to do- but worth it in the end.
Good luck

Re: I need some help again - sleep related
I don't have too much advice but want to sympathize. Sleep issues were the worst part for me. I would try to get him to eat more during the day. As long as he's getting enough during the day, there's no need for hjim to eat at night IMO. I would try giving him water when he wakes up at night to see if he'll stop waking.
