I never ask this but please pray for my family...
I am not usually one to ask for prayers but I just feel horrible right now. I got a call from my mom this morning on my way to work, telling me she had to cancel our xmas get together this coming Saturday because my cousin was killed in a drunk driving accident last night.
I barely knew them but regardless I feel terrible. She was only 16 years old and now that I am a mom I can't even begin to imagine what my aunt is going through...and just a few days after xmas...
I know that there is nothing that can be said or done to change this tradgedy, all I ask is that you pray that my aunt and uncle's pain can somehow be eased, even if it it just a little bit and that my cousin is at peace.

Guys, please tell the people you love how you feel aout them, today because tomorrow may never come. Don't take for granted that they will always be there and "there will always be tommorrow" because that may not always be the case.
All I keep thinking is that last night my aunt let her go to a party, not thinking for a second that it would be the last time she saw her. She probably had a great time, got in the car to go home and never made it there. It just reminds me how precious life is and how we take it for granted...God, I can't even imagine the pain they are feeling...

A teenage girl who was a passenger in a car driven by an allegedly drunken teenager was killed last night in Port Jefferson Station when the vehicle smashed into a parked van and flipped over, Suffolk police said.
The girl, who was not identified pending notification of her family, died at the intersection of Half Mile Road and Nadine Lane, where the 1987 BMW in which she was a passenger landed.
The driver of the BMW, Vincent Cocco, 17, of 167 Wood Rd. in Centereach, was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated. Police said he refused a Breathalyzer test.
Two other passengers, whom police did not name, were taken to Stony Brook University Hospital. Their conditions were not immediately available, but police said their injuries were not life-threatening.
Investigators still were piecing together the details of the accident, but police said the crash occurred at 11:45 p.m. Neighbors said they heard a car speeding down a street and then a loud boom.
The right rear passenger side of the BMW crashed into an unoccupied parked 2005 Ford van, police said. It flipped over and landed upright.
But neighbors said the top of the car was smashed in and had to be removed by rescuers. One neighbor said he saw a body part on the ground.
The female victim, who was in the back seat but not wearing a seatbelt, sustained a severe head injury, police said. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
As the other passengers were taken to Stony Brook, police took Cocco into custody. Though he refused the Breathalyzer test, police obtained a court order to test his blood alcohol level. Those results were not immediately available.
Cocco is scheduled to be arraigned this afternoon. Police said he does not have a prior arrest record; however, they had not checked his license.
An assistant district attorney has been assigned to the case and, police said, the driving while intoxicated charge could be upgraded.
Police impounded both vehicles for safety examinations, a routine procedure in such accidents.
Detectives from the county's Sixth Squad, which is investigating the case, is asking anyone with information about the incident to call them at 631-852-8652 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. Callers will remain anonymous.

OMG  I fell so horrible for your family-especially your Aunt
I too feel this in my heart My middle step-son was killed 4 years ago in a horrible fire in ahis apartment. Totally the landlords fault because he wouldn't get the heat fixed and Tom had a space heater that started an electrical fire..
I now always say I love you to my kids when they go out, whether to the store or for the night.

I am very much against drunk driving. I hope this kid gets murder and goes away for a long time if not forever.
Always remember it is important to teach your children if they are to drunk to drive call someone walk take a cab stay the night do something just never get in the car and drive or get in the car with someone else
