I never thought I would be so happy to go to the DR
Long story short, about 3 months ago I fell as I was walking up the stairs from the subway on my way to work. I landed right on my knee....OUCH. It swelled up and was bruised so I iced it, kept it up etc. I even went to my reg. DR for XRAYS cause it still hurt after the swelling and bruising went away. Nothing showed on the XRAYS. Well fast foward.........I discovered the more I walked on it, the more pain I was in and not its at the point where I cant bend it like a normal knee can bend. After calling practicallt every specialist in my insurance book I was able to get an appt and its FINALLY today. I am hoping that its nothing really really wrong. I just want to find out what it is so I fix it and not be uncomfortable every day when I walk. I'll update when I get back.

I'm glad the x-rays were clear, but that's a bummer that you need an MRI! At least you got a fast appointment.
Both my father and my mother had the surgery to repair a torn meniscus and it wasn't terrible at all. Not that surgery or recovery is ever fun or anything -- but it's a relatively fast recovery today since they can do the surgery orthroscopically. (sp?)
I hope you get some answers soon and some relief from the pain soon!
