Re: i packed my hospital bag....
Sounds like you have it all there-
I have a dumb question though-what's the difference between a nightgown, maternity pj's, and nursting pj's?? That seems like a lot of pajamas to me
I would add facewash/face wipes, and some mascara & lipgloss..
And flip flops for the shower!

Re: i packed my hospital bag....
They told us at our hospital tour not to bring your own pads (or underwear, but I'm not gonna wear the disposables home!). It can't hurt to bring your own, but I'm not bringing any.
I have NO CLUE what I'm going to want to wear home from the hospital so I have like 3 different options (two sweat pants ones and one dress). I think I'm crazy.
I'm definitely not bringing a razor ha ha. I think 3 days without shaving I'll be ok lol.
I have slippers with traction on them and also big fuzzy socks.
I brought my baby book with me too. I need to put some magazines or sudoku or something in there just in case.
I have a TON of snacks for me and DH (for me, mostly gummies and jolly ranchers type stuff, but also ritz crackers). I hear you can feel starving after you give birth, especially if it's the middle of the night. I also have chapstick, a hand-held massager, and plan to bring at least one brightly colored towel (no whites because they get mixed up with the hospital linens). We will also bring our pillows (for me and DH -- our hospital has a bed for DH in the room too).
I have a separate bag for DH that has his clothes and also the baby's coming-home clothes.

Good to know about the nightgown-I'd never have thought about that!
You've inspired me-I'm going to start working on my bag tomorrow Even though I'm 34 weeks I want to be prepared in case of any early surprises.

I was wondering if people would think I was nuts if I bought a blowdryer?

I wouldn't think you're nuts-I'm bringing my makeup bag!
The way I see it, we'll have so many visitors and pics being taken, might as well at least attempt to look a bit pulled together (I love how I say that NOW, but when the time comes I probably won't even care about that.)

i had a csection so i couldnt really get to the bathroom to brush my teeth for the first 20 hours (i got up, but only to a chair)
these things were AWESOME. i used them a few times a day. also great for long labors when you cant eat/drink!
you will all thank me later

Re: i packed my hospital bag....
Your list looks good.
Def bring your own pillow
Flip flops for the shower
shower cap- You will be so exhausted may not want to do hair
Face wipes ( so you dont have to always wash your face at the sink) -you will have a lot of visitors.
Wisps- disposable tooth brush
Phone Chargers
Your telephone contact list
to do lisst- call HR, insurance, cord blood etc..with all contact #'s
Def your own pads- I HATED THEIRS
Also, Take everything they give you in the hospital. Honestly I loved the disposable underwear. I came home with about 30 pairs. You will be bleeding a lot down there and changing underwear frequently. Unless you want to destroy all your own underwear (stock up on disposable at the hospital)

BRING IT!! I felt dumb and not sure if I brought it or used it the 1st time. The second time around I brought it and used it the first day...it just made me feel better. I woke up early showered and blow dried my hair before they brought the baby in and felt so much better and looked better in pictures too!!! And some makeup!!! Didn't overdo make up but some chapstick and blush and mascara went along way for me!
