i think GH3 techincally in the lower levels like easy and medium--is easier to play than the previous Guitar Heros, cause the window of time for you to hit a note is larger.
That's what we thought, we're sitting there just whizzing by. I think we beat the whole game on easy in 1 hour haha

lol seriously!!! i have done all 70 songs in easy and medium without breaking a sweat. (although raining blood by slayer does make me angry -- its the only song i haven't 100%'d on easy--i always miss a note!)
does everyone know about the codes to unlock all the cheats? hehe i have them all

For GH3 there are a bunch of codes
like to unlock every single song--so you don't have to pay for it.
there's another code for "Hyperspeed" -- its makes the notes come at you faster--i know that sounds like it makes it harder--but honestly it makes it easier to play. because you can visually see the notes better as they are spread out. you are NOT playing the song any faster than you normally would -- its the same tempo--but notes are faster and spaced out
air guitar -- your character has no guitar. lol
performance mode -- only for TRUE guitar hero gods--there is NO fret board, you play from memory
precision mode -- window of error is smaller and you fail a song easier
large gems -- this is just hilarious--it makes the notes HUGE
easy expert -- allows you a gigantic window of time to hit notes * only available in quick play and regular multiplayer -- no career
no fail -- pretty self explanatory *same rule as last code
and for ps3/xbox360 there is a code to enter to get bret michaels to come out as the singer on his song that is on the bonus tracks

We have GH 3 for 360 and love it. I am shamed to admit that my wife slaughters me with ease. I think I need to sleep less and practice more.

i had just finished my Hard career on GH2 -- and was going to go back and re-do songs to try and start 5 starring them all, and do some songs on expert--but GH3 came out and stole all my attention! lol

no--sorry should have clarified--i meant inside the game itself. how under the "Store" menu there are songs that are bonus songs from mostly unknown groups---like 30 or so i think...and you are supposed to "pay" for them with your in game money that you earn from gigs.
also there are like 6 songs that are only unlockable in co-op career mode: suck my kiss, sabotage, monsters, cities on flame with rock n roll, reptilia, and helicopter.....after you unlock them in co-op career , they are available in quickplay or battle/face off modes
but theres a code you can use to unlock ALL songs---so you don't have to pay for them or unlock them
