I think I made a mistake....
I started WW last week and lost 4 pounds. Today (bc a friend told me it was good) I went into subway and originally planned to get a turkey sandwich. Then I thought that tuna would be even better. I just ate my sandwich went online and read 31g of fat. How is that even possible? its only tuna not filet mignon. I am so upset with myself.

Re: I think I made a mistake....
First off congrats on the 4 lbs!! It's the mayo and maybe its the tuna in oil that makes the fat count so high.
We all make those "mistakes" WW newbies and oldies included. Just count your points and carry on with the day. Tomorrow is a new day. It's OK

My co-worker just said the same thing. SHe calculated the points and it came to 12 points. (for a half sandwich). The other half goes in the GARBAGE. I will be eating cereal for dinner...LOL

Re: I think I made a mistake....
I have had many days with almost 0 points left.
A goodie to eat in those instances is an egg white (or even egg) omlet loaded with veggies!

Re: I think I made a mistake....
don't beat yourself up! yes, that is totally possible.
My suggestion is to bring your lunch. when you don't bring your lunch, go online and find the nutritional info BEFORE you go to the store. This way you eliminate spur of the moment choices like today.

Re: I think I made a mistake....
There really isnt anything WW friendly to eat at subway...
There are alot of calories and fat in everything there = more points...
It makes me wonder how Jared lost all that weight

Sure there is. The 6 subs under 6 are good:
6" Subs-Under 6 Includes wheat bread/lettuce/tomatoes/onions/green peppers/pickles/olives
Ham 6" Sub (290 cal/5 g fat/4 g fiber/47 g carbs) 5.5
Oven Roasted Chicken Breast 6" Sub (330 cal/5 g fat/5 g fiber/48 g carbs) 6 Roast Beef 6" Sub (290 cal/5 g fat/4 g fiber/45 g carbs) 5.5
Subway Club 6" Sub (320 cal/6 g fat/4 g fiber/47 g carbs) 6
Sweet Onion Chicken Teriyaki 6" Sub (370 cal/5 g fat/4 g fiber/59 g carbs) 7
Turkey Breast 6" Sub (280 cal/4.5 g fat/4 g fiber/46 g carbs) 5
Turkey Breast & Ham 6" Sub (290 cal/5 g fat/4 g fiber/47 g carbs) 5.5
Veggie Delite 6" Sub (230 cal/3 g fat/4 g fiber/44 g carbs) 4
The other thing is that if you have more points available and are more hungry it is cheaper (both in $$$ and points) to get double meat on a 6 inch instead of a footlong sub. I think its 50 cents or a dollar for a 6" to double the meat and its a lot less points since you're only adding meat and not adding more cheese and more bread, etc...

Re: I think I made a mistake....
Tuna in general is not great to order out. Most of the time they don't get white meat packed in water(the best kind) and they add bread to it which ups the carbs. If you crave it, make it at home Let it go and just keep following Keep up the good work! I will be joining you in a few weeks!

Don't look at how many pounds you have to lose. Just concentrate on what you are doing. It gets overwhelming when you look at the whole number. Try looking at 5 lb increments. You already lost 4, so you're almost at the first mark already!
