I think its a conspiracy

I am beginning to think that OBs and Midwives are all in cahoots with each other to drive pregnant women NUTS! I think that in some sick way, they enjoy making us question everything we do.

For example: The foods we are "allowed" or "not allowed" to eat or drink.

Why oh why can't they all just get it together and decide on a blanket list that each and every doctor gives to each and every pregnant woman?

Why is it that some doctors tell women to avoid everything from deli meats to skim milk, while others (like mine) do not give any guidelines really, just tell us "everything in moderation".

Because doctors, like patients, are comfortable with varying levels of risk. Some doctors will let you take greater risks for greater comfort, others think that no unnecessary risk should be taken no matter how miserable the mommy becomes as a result!

different strokes for different folks. i got a list from my doc and i added to it from books/websites...but im usually paranoid, so i didn't mind :)

I feel some doctors, like more people, are just more..either paranoid or laid back than others....

Im fairly laid back to begin with and through the years I have learned what is a no no and what is OK...

For me the whole thing is funny b/c over the course of 15 YEARS things have come and gone off the list..
