I thought I would share with my LIF family what's been going on in my life lately
The saying that God doesn't give you more than you can handle....
This last week alone:
1. I was laid off my job of almost 18 years
2. My Mom's BFF and a very close friend of the family for 40 years passed away.
My sweet Mom will miss the service for Millie due to her upcoming surgery, she will still be in the hospital:(
3. My youngest DD and my SIL Jeffrey split a month ago and she decided to get a divorce from her highshool sweetheart and love of 7 years, just short of their 2 year wedding anniversary.
4. My Mom's gentleman love Gil (colonel sanders) is very ill with a heart infection, in the hospital and just signed his DNR yesterday.
5. Mom is having a spinal fusion next Wednesday, which will be good for her as she loves to travel and Golf and Bowl, after her recovery and rehab she will hopefully be able to continue to enjoy her life to the fullest!
This past week, I sometimes wonder ....*****????????? Really???????????
On the plus side, I have lost almost 50 pounds since May and think I am mentally handling things better than I ever thought I could!

PS I hope this doesn't end up on someones pet peeve list

Phyl I am glad you shared, that's a lot of stuff for one person to handle!! I wish I was out there so I could take you out for some much needed girl time  Lots of for you and for your mom and Colonel Sanders!

That is a lot to process and deal with. I'm so sorry that you're having to deal with all this.
On the flip side (because I am the eternal optimist) congratulations on the 50lbs and YAY for being so much stronger mentally. Keep that positive attitude in light of adversity!

Thank you all!
You don't know how much your kind words and support mean to me. I have a really rough time ever sharing the down side of things.
Friends and family have really blown me away with their love and support!
I love you guys!
PS: If you read on the news that a crazy Cali chick from The OC was seen running and screaming nekkid thru the county, well....probably won't be me! LOL Image Attachment(s):
