I took the Castor Oil cocktail....
as per my OB's and Doula's suggestions.
So now today -- I can't go anywhere. I am afraid to wander too far from the loo. Crampy, tired, and well you know - ugh. Someone get Baby P moving please!!
We were supposed to go to a few BBQs today.

No eggplant --- I am afraid to EAT!! I will try the eggplant tomorrow.
Honestly I've done everything suggested anywhere - se-x, castor oil, acupuncture, chiropractor, pressure points, massage, walking, resting, raspberry leaf tea, lobster and shrimp (as per my OB) and some herb my doula recommended.
Nada.
Tomorrow 1 more acupuncture session, and a spa pedicure.....at 7:30pm I have an appt with the OB and 8pm sceduled to check in to the hospital to start cervadril.
This is so not how I wanted this to go...

I'm sorry. If it makes you feel any better, both of my kids were induced and both were vaginal deliveries. With my daughter I needed both cervidil and pitocin, with my son the cervidil alone was enough. Good luck!

Good luck---I wasnt induced, but I wasnt progressing past 3 cm--so my dr broke my water, and gave me pitocin at the same time---I delivered less than 4 hours later. I am sure you will be fine!!!

Being induced is really not terrible. Babies come when they are meant to come, and I honestly believe that a lot of the old wives tales for inducing labor have worked in some cases only b/c the women were ready to go without it! I'm not a fan at all of the castor oil, I don't mean to rain on your parade, but it can be dangerous...I just wouldn't want other women to go trying this to spark labor without knowing the risks b.c they think it will help. Please don't think I'm being preachy, I just got concerned when I read your post. And yes, I understand that your doctors OK'ed this, but if a woman does this without knowing a thing about it she could dehydrate, whereas YOU are prob very aware of the side effects and staying hydrated!
With that being said, I wish you all the luck in the world!!! I was induced and had an absolutely incredible experience-in the end your baby will be here, it is so exciting!! Good luck to you!

Don't stress b/c this is not how you saw things going. I didn't see myself being induced and was terrifed of a c section, but things ended up going fine
My SIL SWORE by evening primrose oil.....

I had an awesome induction with Jayden. I got the cervadil at 10pm and they took it out the next morning at 10am. I took a shower, ate breakfast and then they gave me the pitocin at 11:30am. They broke my water around 2pm and I had my epi 15 min later. DS was born at 5:21pm after 3 pushes.

baby p just knows once he/she comes out the eatin wont be so good anymore.
