This thing is getting slammed hard in the forum's. Seems everything is sealed. You can not replace the battery, the memory, anything. It definitely looks incredible but I would be buyer beware and wait for the second round next year. I am sure they will make some big improvements. Just my 2 cents..

not for anything but the geeks ALWAYS slam a new product when it comes out!! but yet they are the FIRST ones to go and get it!!

It's usually worth the wait for 2nd/3rd generation but if my Mac book wasn't in perfect condition and I had some extra cash I'd totally get one!

I saw the hole demestration yesterday and man is that thing small. I cant believe he pulled it out of the envelope. I have the powerbook and love it. We have 3 macs at home even my 7 year old has the mini mac.

I don't know if they will be able to add an optical drive, but what they were saying was that if you had a remote drive, like a separate drive or on another computer, it can read that data wirelessly as if the drive were in the computer, which is pretty amazing.
i need to get a few more years out of my iBook, but that makes me drool anyway!

You can get an external drive for $99.

Thats so true. Look what they said about the iPhone and 4 million sold later in just 200 days.... :) I think I would call it a smash hit.
