I wanted to share a wonderful story I heard today...
I had to go for a medical evaluation and as the PA was interviewing me, she noticed my necklace (with Rogan's footprints) and asked about it.
After I told her what happened, she pulled out a bunch of photos of her daughter.
She proceeded to tell me that she went through 3 IVF cycles and 3 FET's and after none of them worked, she and her husband decided to look into adoption. She said they contacted Spence-Chapin and within a year they were hooked up with a birth mother.
Their daughter is now 13 and she said that her daughter is the love and light of her life. She said it was the best thing she had ever done and she knows it was the right thing to do.
She also adopted her niece (I didn't even ask the details) who is now 5.
I just thought it was the most heartwarming, hopeful story I'd heard in a long time.

Great story!!
I think it's just reinforces that a woman can/will be a mother, she just may follow a different path than some of the "conventional" ways

What a great story, Dh and i already discussed if we are unable to have children on our own we will def adopt.
we even are considering have one on our own and maybe adopting for a second

That is such a touching story. I was just thinking of these situations today in court, where I represent children who are abused and neglected. Nothing is better than Fridays in Family Court and seeing the creation of a loving beautiful family before my eyes!

That was a wonderful story.. I was totally expecting the "and guess what I got pregnant on my own after I adopted" The truth is that does NOT happen for everyone.. Thanks
