Ice cream cone cupcakes
How do you make the cupcakes that are in the ice cream cone? Do you put the cone in the oven or do you put the cupcake in the cone afterwards? They are so cute to make.

Re: Ice cream cone cupcakes
The batter goes in the cone and bakes in there. My mom always made them for my school b-days

Yup, bake the batter in the cones.
I use a flat-bottom roasting pan, cover it with tin foil, then slice X's in the foil and insert the cones in there to hold them upright.
FYI though - they're a PIA to transport.

you can roll or bunch up tin foil to act as a bumper in the pan when traveling..

Re: Ice cream cone cupcakes
Don't know if you are planning on making them, but someone just gave me a GREAT idea for them for Easter.
Make them as usual (she said the recipe used to be on the cone box). Frost with green frosting, use red licorice for a 'handle" and put jelly beans in the middle for an edible "Easter basket".
You can also use green dyed coconut to make the edges of the frosting more grassy looking

Re: Ice cream cone cupcakes
I always put the batter in them and bake!
Last year, I put the batter in the paper baking cups, then took the cone and placed it upside down into the cake batter. When it's done cooking, you peel the paper baking off and then frost. It gives it a more "square" top, but then you don't have to worry about standing the cones up and overfilling.
