we are keeping our names a secret, that way, when the baby comes - oh well, too late....that's their name! 
if you really like the name, then i say go for it! it's your child!

ITA - I wouldn't change it.
It is hard enough to come up with names that you and your DH agree upon, so I would not make an adjustment based on others. Besides once she arrives they will learn to love it!

We are keeping the names to ourselves this time

My MIL didnt like the name we picked for  but then when he was born she changed her mind... It didnt phase DH and I .. we were still going to name him it! It's your Baby and your choice!

My Dh told my Dad a name we were thinking of and my father said, thats good...for a middle name. I had a lot of comments about my DD name which is Grace. I got why don't you just name her Blanche or is she going to join the golden girls. Whatever, I loved it and still do! Don't let others sway you.

My mom and grandma and father weren't crazy about the name, esp the middle name, they know me well enough not to mess with me, I'm very headstrong...so they're over it now....

it's your child, not anyone else's. if you love it then that should be the name you choose. it's always nice to have opinions but it comes down to you - you can't let other people's opinions influence your decisions like that.

Alot of people don't like out name, which is Weston. I was questioning it to begin with, but I finally decided I really like it, and I really don't care if others don't.

Some people didn't seem crazy about our names but personally, I don't really care and what everyone else thought in NO way influenced our decision or changed our mind. It's our baby, we're picking the name we like and you know what.........once the baby is here and named nobody will ever say anything about it. That will just be their name and they won't be able to imagine the baby being called anything else other than what we chose. Go with what you like, who cares about everyone else!!

our MIL originally wasn't a fan of our baby name, but I think now its growing on her. I try very hard to not ask "what do you think".
