If I shut off a pot of soup on the stove
That's been cooking in a dutch oven for about 2 hours, and leave the lid on, will it be fine to leave out until morning(like 7am)? It's too hot to put away and I want to go to sleep soon lol. I started it way too late! Opinions please!

If I shut off a pot of soup on the stove
maybe. i guess it would depend what's in it. if it was just stock that you were making i would say it would probably be okay if you brought it back up to a boil, but if there is stuff in it, i dunno

From 12am to 7am? I don't know that I'd risk that. It would probably be fine.. especially if you bring it back to a boil.. but why take the chance? Plus if you do that you are missing a good opportunity to put it in the fridge and let the fat solidify so you can skim it off easier.
