Re: If money was not a factor...

At my age 2.

Ten years ago Id say 4.

There are too many risks at my age. Even if all went well, I would not have enough energy for 4 kids at this stage of my life. I would prefer not to have a child past 40.

We have 2 and I would not have more. I don't know if people realize how hard it is to have children. Unless you are super lax and nothing bothers you, it's not easy when you have a bunch of kids whining and crying. Babies are cute, but those babies turn into kids who need discipline.

sooo true, I say not until you have 3 do you realize the chaos, 2 is still managable if you have a husband, but when you have 3, you;re outnumbered, 1 needs something to drink, the oter is whining and the baby needs to be breastfed, UGH, I remmeber the days wellChat Icon . Oh, and then the dog would throw up and the phone would ringChat Icon

ETA: 2 kids are still overwhelming, hell 1 kid is ALOT of work!!!

I agree. I watch my nephew sometimes and my son and him are only 3 months apart and I don't know if I am coming or going-lol!!
My daughter is very hyper so she is more difficult than my son but all they do is fight and it drives us nuts!! We are sooooooo done-lol!!
Also, I LOVE to spend time alone with my dh and doing adult things.

Re: If money was not a factor...

money wasn't a factor for us, 3 is a good number for us because we feel that we can give each child enough of ourselves without streching it too much and leaving someone out... does that make sense?

3. I think my age might be more of a factor than the money part. (I'm 35 have due to have #1 in November.) I'm still hoping to have 3, but I guess I should wait & see how it goes with one! Chat Icon

Re: If money was not a factor...

2 - not because of $$ just because I don't think I could handle more than 2 kids

but if DH had it his way, we'd have a small army

This is my answer almost exactly. I think at this point I might only want one.

Re: If money was not a factor...

if I was younger and had $$, I'd go for 4

as it is, DH wants 3 and I'm not sure how much time I have for that (I'm 36 and just about to have my 1st!)
