DD will be 33 months when DC#2 is born and im not getting a double stroller just wondering who is and what will be the age difference?
I really think 3 is about the age where a child walks everywhere on their own no?

All the 3 year olds I know dont walk everywhere nor do their parents want them to: i.e. on the streets, malls, etc.

DS will be 26 months when #2 is born and I'm getting a double stroller.

Our cousins at a 28 month old when #2 was born and again, they got a double.

im not sure why i dont think we will need it. i feel like most places dh and i go together, older dd always wanders and wants to walk; i just think it would be a waste to get a double. am i the only one who thinks like this?
i rarely use the stroller now, if we go anywhere to the park etc.... she walks.

you could get a sit/stand so if DD has an "off" day there is a place for her.

DS will be 19 months when DS #2 is born. We are def getting a double. I am getting the City Select if I can find a great used one for a good price on craigslist or a new one if I some how win the lottery in the next 4 months lol.

I was a nanny for 2 years and the youngest just turned 3 when I started working for them. Not once did I ever use the stroller. I am basing this on my experience though, every kid is different and also I didn't have a newborn to worry about along with a 3 yr old wondering off while out. I say don't get it at first because you may be right and never even use it, assess the situation when DC is born and you are all out and see if it works without the stroller. Or, you could get something like the City Select which has the option of being a single or a double... I know there is a Britax like that and a Kolcraft.

DS will be 28 months when #2 is born & we're getting a double. I just don't know which kind yet. We still get so much use out of our stroller now and DS is a few weeks away from his 2nd bday so I don't think it will be a waste for us.

I plan on getting a double stroller, although I have no clue what kind. They will be 2 1/2 years apart.

They will be 29m apart and I will be getting the City Select. If DS listened to me more I might not need it Chat Icon

dd will be 3 around my due date. I was leaning towards getting a sit and stand stroller but since it will be spring time and I'm hoping to do lots of walking on the boardwalk I will probably look into a double.

I babysit M-F for a 3 year old, and I have a double stroller already, but I will probably use it. I figure that I have to take a stroller with us anyway when we go places for the baby, I might as well bring the double with me in case the 3 yo gets tired.

And sometimes she does. We take a lot of walks and sometimes halfway through she asks to be held. And it's really getting hard for me to hold her for long periods of time being that she weighs 36 lbs... so....the stroller is there for us if she needs it!

DS will just be turning three when I give birth. I went stroller shopping and have decided on the Joovy Ergo Caboose. (Its a sit and stand). It wasn't worth us getting a regular double stroller. DS would out grow them fast. At least with this one, DS can sit in the front seat while I snap the infant seat into the back. When the baby outgrows the infant seat, DS will be big enough to sit or stand in the back, and baby will sit in the front seat.

Oh and it depends on your child. I can only let DS walk around for a little while, before he gets crazy and starts wondering away, or he gets tired. I guess if you have a really good child that will walk next to the stroller at all times, then you don't need one. I don't have that child.
Plus, sounds horrible, but he walks so slow. Sometimes you just need to get in and out of a store real quick. It would take forever.

Mine will be 30 months apart and I'm leaning towards a joovy sit and stand I think. I'll see how DS behaves as it gets closer, but, for now he still likes the stroller. I dont know about a double though, I like the city select but DS might be too big for it.

this baby is due 3 days after DD's 3rd birthday.

I put the bugaboo boogie board thing on my registry to attach to my bug- which I think DD will love, but I also added the city mini double. I figured if someone buys it for me, great. I will keep in box until I determine if I really need it or not.

I have heard that older children want to sit in the stroller because the baby is in the stroller-- We use our stroller about half the time we are out-- but only at the mall or something like that.

My first two are 20mos apart, so I definitely used the double strollers -- I had two!
One was the Graco Duoglider that I used when the baby was in the infant carrier and then I used the City Mini Double when he could hold his head up better and the weather was warmer.

For #3, I will most likely do the same, and Chat Icon that my 4yo will cooperate and walk next to us. If not, we're buying an attachment for the City Mini that allows him to stand behind the stroller.

DD was exactly 33 months when DS was born.

I bought a nice, Baby Jogger, double.

I can count on one hand how many times I have used it. We only used it at Hershey Park, for when she got tired. And few times I took them for walks around the neighborhood. Now she walks herself.

If DD is not in the stroller all that much, don't waste your money. JMO If you feel you might have an occasion where you'll need it, ie a trip to Disney or something like that. Get a sit and stand.
