If u had a dog before your baby..
How long did it take for your dog to get used to your baby.
My mom will be taking care of my DS 3 days a week in Sept.. I went to my mom's for the first time yesterday and my mom's dog was obsessed with the baby. She wanted to keep sniffing him. Just curous how long it will take for the little doggy to get used to my baby.

About 2 days.
We were really scared at first because our dog went nuts when we brought him home. And then literally after 2 days it was like they were both always together.

DS is almost 9 months old and my dog is used to him, but not happy about it.
He is constantly stealing is toys and taking things off the coutertop, and he knows he's not suposed to.
Just make sure you give your pup LOTS of love and 1 on 1 time too....

It took my dog a couple of weeks to adjust, however if we aren't paying full attention to the dog she will go over to the baby and give her kisses until we start paying attention to her. It's kinda cute. We have also learned not to yell at her for kissing the baby, but to redirect her.

Our dogs love our DS but like anything the dogs will steal his toys and run around the house with them. They do sleep by the pack and play when he is in there. I know they love him but they still have to learn that his toys are off limits. The sniffing is common but it will go away. Maybe if you leave some of the baby's things there with the babys scent the dog will get better.

Only a few days, but maybe you should leave a blanket or piece of clothing that DC used for the dog to sniff and get use to. DH actually brought a baby blanket from the hospital home for our dog to sniff before DC came home.
