Oh wow didn't know so many people from LI are in Jacksonville .. I been here for 10 month but moved from another part of Florida to here. I been out of Long Island for 7 years Total now and no regrets. So far loving Jacksonville

right now I am just renting in southside and it works because it's close to everything .. I am looking to buy next year and I am going to be looking into St. John county right off jax and ponte Vedra. Also mandarin is really nice but I want to be closer to the beach
Mandarin was nice but you might be happier in Julington Creek, the houses were a bit nicer and close to shopping! I mean I speak from no experience except a 4 day visit there

Lol yeah I really don't see myself in mandarin .. Did you find a specific area you like? My main expertise is in eating out so let me know if you need recommendation lol

That is our favorite thing to do  Based on where shopping is etc I think we are going to look in Durbin Crossing and Julington Creek and possibly Nocatee.

We also moved from LI to Nocatee last year. We love it, haven't regretted it for a minute. We miss our family like crazy, but other than that it's been amazing!

We picked up and moved. We have been in MA for 2.5 years now. I like it a lot, and overall I think it was the best move for our family.
I miss my family and friends a lot! That has been the hardest part. I spend a lot of time alone with my DH and DD. Slowly we are starting to meet people and make friends but it definitely takes time.

We did and it was the best decision ever! We moved to Louisville KY. It was an adjustment at first but I threw myself into my kids school, into our new church and joined a MOPS group. I can honestly say we have a much bigger stronger village here then we ever did in NY or MI. Even if we won the lottery and could move back we wouldn't.
