Re: If you are a skinny person does it bother you
I used to be VERY thin--like a 0 or 2 in my mid twenties. I worked out all the time and had a very defined arms, back, legs and tummy--but I was thin--not built. People would make comments ALL THE TIME abut how skinny I was, was I anorexic, my colleagues would scrutinize what i ate for lunch. Finally one day this frenemy at work said "You're so skinny--I think you're anorexic....blah, blah, blah (obviously she had never seen a picture of an anorexic person before) and I turned to her and said--"If you're so worried about me not eating well, why don't you take me out to dinner? Just pick and date and a place. I'll meet you there. Your treat." That shut her mouth.
Now that i am older and have had a child, my body has changed. I am still thin, but don't work out like a fiend like I used to, so I am "softer" and more "womanly." Nobody makes skinny comments anymore, they just tell me I look so good for having a baby. I'll take it!

Re: If you are a skinny person does it bother you
comments like : you are so skinny how do you do it.... you look good..... don't bother me at all (naturally)
It's comments like : you are TOO skinny... Are you eating ok? you NEED to eat more ..... they bother me and I do think it's very rude. It's no different than if I went up to a heavy set person and told them they have gained too much weight and need to cut down on food. KWIM?
I completely agree with this. Or it makes me uncomfortable when people comment on what I am eating. "oh if I ate like you then I would be thin too."

I'll take it! see in my case I was and still am (even after having DD) exactly how you describe yourself before you had your DC "very defined arms, back, legs and tummy" thin but not built (even though I never worked out much, before or after) BUT I never got as many "you are too skinny , need to eat" comments before I had DD . I guess people just expect you to not be AS skinny after having a child or something, I don't know
