If you are looking for inexpensive books
The Friends of Wantagh Library is having their used book sale tomorrow from 10-4. They had tons of books for kids and adults. I didn't see how much the adult books were, but the kids ones were $0.50 for hardcovers and $0.25 for paperbacks.
The only accept cash.

General: Drive South on Wantagh Parkway. Exit at Sunrise Highway (Route 27) East. Travel East to first stop light. Turn left onto Wantagh Avenue, Go under Railroad underpass to first stop light. Turn left onto Park Avenue, travel a short distance, library is on the right. Parking lot is at the back of the building

Oh my gosh! I'd have a field day at a sale like that! I loooooovve books! Even better... old library books with the crinkly jackets and creeky spines!!! I just may have to high tail it into Nassau!!!

As an aside also the scholastic warehouse store is having their sale I believe the 9th - 18th of December! If you sign up on their website there is also a 10 dollar off coupon :)
