Definitely. I will wear it whenever I have to be close to people because I have absolutely no faith that the unvaccinated will do their part and continue to wear masks
You do realize you can catch Covid from a vaccinated person?
You can, but studies show being vaccinated reduces transmission so the chances are lower.
But it’s not 100% known. I’ve said it before, go have a bunch of vaccinated people who are maskless for a while get tested. I’m hearing so many breakthrough cases now. But they are asymptomatic and wouldn’t have normally tested.

Re: If you are vaccinated will you continue to wear a mask?
I never wore a mask on planes trains and subways before this. I just got sick (or mostly didn't to be honest) and took it as a part of life and moved on. You get sick in life. It's actually part of building an immune system to be honest. When kids are not exposed to germs at daycare they go to Kindergarten and get sick all the time. The daycare kids all got sick in daycare and by the time they get to Kindergarten they are sick less. It's how immunity works.
I understand with Covid it was a novel virus and pandemic so masks were necessary to slow the spread. But once this is done, I don't plan to wear a mask ever again

Re: If you are vaccinated will you continue to wear a mask?
Yes in public, because there is no way of knowing if other mask-less people have been vaccinated or not.
Vaccinated people can still get Covid. Since there is so much unknown about this virus, even if I have a mild or asymptomatic case, I fear possibly getting those other neurological problems long-haulers suffer from.
I also won't know if and when new variants become a problem or when my immunity will wane.
I won't wear a mask when around people I know have been vaccinated.

Absolutely not. Between my own antibodies from having COVID coupled with the vaccine I would feel comfortable ditching the mask.

Nothing is 100% and never will be but there is data. Several studies have been posted.
I've said this to you before but anecdotes don't matter. It doesn't matter how many people YOU KNOW who got Covid and were vaccinated, or whatever. Or how many people I know who didn't. It doesn't work that way - no single person's circle is big enough. Studies need to be done on a large enough scale otherwise they mean nothing.
You've gotten feedback from a few people on here that it sounds like you (and a few others) are desperately trying to find reasons to not take the vaccine. Don't take it if you don't want to, but it's a falsehood to equate the risk of transmission from a vaccinated person and from an unvaccinated person.

Nope unless a business still requires it (whatever was outlined that they are still requiring)

the bigger the sample size, the greater reliability and validity!!!

I will probably wear it if I am sick. I feel like it did help not getting any colds last year.
I do have a question though. pretty much my entire office is vaccinated except for a few people who have made it known they're NOT getting the vaccine. They are the ones who can not wait to pull off their mask.
Is my company allowed to ask for proof of our vaccines?
Does it really matter? Until they come out and prove that those vaccinated can’t spread Covid and have a definite answer as to how long the vaccine lasts, you are just as much a threat as an unvaccinated person.
Sorry was just asking a question.
I’m just saying, it shouldn’t even matter. These guidelines make zero sense.
But it depends who you talk to. Some say it’s a violation of HIPPA and others say no. I just don’t think many businesses will put themselves in the situation to ask.
I work with HIPAA all day, it is absolutely NOT a violation of HIPPA. That has to do with doctors, health insurance companies, etc. You providing your own vaccination status does not have anything to do with HIPPA
ETA: I will probably continue to wear my mask where it is crowded, my son asked me to wear one when I am out with him

I'll continue to wear a mask, even when we're all vaccinated. Unless my boyfriend and I break up and I need to flirt with the guy in the grocery store. :D

Re: If you are vaccinated will you continue to wear a mask?
I will still wear one in stores, but I am admittedly a germaphobe and I think people are gross. I also don't care to chat with people while waiting on line so this solves that problem too. People can look at me weird and I don't really care.

Re: If you are vaccinated will you continue to wear a mask?
I think it will take me awhile to feel comfortable not wearing one inside a building in certain situations-in church, at work, in crowds. Not because I don't trust the vaccine, but because I have been living for over a year with the mask thing being shoved down our throats that the only way to stay safe doing anything is with a mask on. In my mind I had that comfort-oh I will be safe with this.
But on the other hand, it does not bother me at all to see others without one, I don't think twice. Eventually I will get used to it again.

i have a feeling that a lot of people who are not vaccinated will go maskless and there will me a few spikes in our future. i hope and pray that i'm wrong. .
I’m sorry but this is such an ignorant comment. Maskless will lead to spread. Whether you are vaccinated or not. You can blame the unvaccinated people all you want but vaccinated people can and are spreading covid just as easily. Look at the yankees outbreak. 9 cases of all fully vaccinated people that went mask less and spread it to each other. I really don’t understand how people have so much faith in the vaccine. Do a google search- vaccinated people can get and spread covid. I would much rather be in close contact with an unvaccinated cautious person than the way I see all the vaccinated people I know living. It’s down right scary the ignorance but go ahead and blame the unvaccinated people for the “spikes”, they are an easy target these days!

My company is requiring vaccines if you want to work in the offices. Otherwise you can choose to be a remote employee.

Wow I didn’t even think hospital workers were required.

In stores and stuff, probably. My kids aren't vaccinated and now I'm pregnant so even though I'm vaxxed, I don't want to risk it.
Outside, I never really have unless I was at the playground or actively around other people. I don't wear them walking down an empty street.

They aren't. My friend works in Elmhurst Hospital which was like Covid ground zero last year and she has chosen not to get vaccinated.

I might go back to wearing a mask outdoors, because, as I unfortuantley realized last week, It kept bugs from going up my nose!

Yes, I remember a few years back there was some huge lawsuit about healthcare workers being froced to get a flu shot. So I am guessing they are not required to get this either. Which is crazy if you think about it- some office job requires you to get it, but in a freaking hospital around sick people you don't need it? Nothing makes sense!

Yup and I only ask as I have a friend nurse who will not get the vaccine and hasn’t been required to yet. Surprised that an office would require it before a hospital.

This seems to fall on deaf ears on these boards.
This is what causes my fury....us “unvaccinated” people are the irresponsible super spreaders in so many eyes.

Yes. Especially in places with recirculated air like stores, malls, public transportation. People are gross, I’ll also wear them when I’m not feeling great but I’m not sick enough to stop my life and take off from work. Same with my kids. I hope parents will do the same with their children.
Exactly this
