Dream job that would never happen: opera star (i have a decent voice, but not that good!)
Dream job if I was smart enough: pediatrician
Dream job that could actually happen if I had the capital to invest: children's book store owner like Meg Ryan's character in "You've Got Mail"

I am in my dream job - civil rights attorney for the U.S. Dept. of Education- I investigate allegations of discrimination in public schools and provide remedies if we find a violation. I absolutely LOOOOOOOVE it.
that's awesome. my husband is a high school teacher with a JD. that sounds so cool! how does one even look into that?

He would be a perfect fit for our job... when we hire, which isn't all that often, we look for people with a background in education. Former teachers are a highly valued asset in our office!
We aren't hiring in our office now, but you can see if any of the other regional offices are hiring by doing a search on USAjobs. We are the U.S. Dept. of Education, Office for Civil Rights.

I'd love to be a resort / hotel critic.
My job will be to spend a week at nice resorts around the world & rate the service, food, ambiance, cleanliness etc.

A Family Court Judge-I would love that job! To be able to make a difference in a child's life daily would be awesome.

Always wanted to be a rock star..no idea why, and I can't sing ...so onto dream # 2
NICU nurse....I am working on it now, another year to go before I can start looking for a job.
