Re: If you could, would you re-elect Bush?
HELL FREAKING NO! I never voted for him and never will. IMO, he is horrible president and should be impeached!

Re: If you could, would you re-elect Bush?
No I didn't vote for him the last 2 times. If he were the last person on this planet allowed to run for president, I'd drop down a species to pick someone.
To say I have absolutely NO respect for him is a complete understatement.
Also I voted he's not my president because if I remotely believed he was actually in charge of running this country, I might have just voted "Didn't vote for him".

Hell NO! Let's just be thankful there's no chance of him ever being appointed (oops sorry, elected) President again.

I literally had to check three times. It says that 200 people voted "YES" in the polls.
Why aren't those people speaking up? 2 of us have.
Make that 3.
Maybe 200 people do not feel like getting flamed because they feel as if they are in the minority on this thread. I don't agree 100%, or even 75% of what Bush is doing, especially lately (the port security thing). However, I do feel that after 9/11 (I was there in NYC and saw the second plane go into tower two and worked down there for three and a half years after the attack for an organization helping to rebuild lower Manhattan) we are living in a different world.
I personally felt that Bush would not be a pansy and ask the world or UN if it was OK for us to go to war like Kerry said he would do. I am sorry but when 20 people decide to use US airplanes as bombs and bomb MY country, I want to go to the countries where the terrorists are an bomb the cr@p out of them. When people are dancing in the streets because innocent Americans died, when my friends died because of these people, I want to fight back. Am I naive? Maybe. Am I "just as bad as the terrorists'? Maybe. Do I "not understand foreign policy"? Maybe. All I can tell you is that I felt safer with Bush as president, period.
Lately I am questioning a lot of Bush's moves and feel that this whole port security thing is ridiculous. I pray that we elect someone in 2008 that has the countries best interest at heart and can keep us safe.

I doubt 200 people voted... a person can vote unlimited times, just use your back button, you can vote over and over and over

Seriously not trying to start an argument, but weren't 15 of them from Saudi Arabia?

Really? I didn't realize that.
I was just curious about the figure and interested in hearing from what appeared to be the majority.
I don't feel as though anyone needed to justify anything.

Re: If you could, would you re-elect Bush?
I did not vote for Bush in either of the last 2 elections and I don't feel that he is my president because he doesn't stand for a lot of what I believe in. My president would stand up for the things I believe in.

Yes, but they were all trained in Afghanistan. They were born in Saudi Arabia and were recruited there. Personally, I feel we should have gone into Saudi Arabia as well. I feel that Saudi Arabia, Palestine, Afghanistan, Iraq, and other middle eastern countries promote hatred towards Americans and other western nations. When hatred is promoted like that it serves as fertile ground for terrorists. I don't have all the answers, but something needs to change in these countries. I feel no matter what we do for these countries (if we give them money, food, liberate them from a tyrant, etc.), they will still hate Americans.

Re: If you could, would you re-elect Bush?
Iraq was a strong SECULAR gov't in the middle. STUPID to destabilize it.
NONE of the hijakcers were from iraq, and Al Qaeda was not supported by the Iraqi gov't AT ALL. No WMDs. Completely false pretenses.
And yes, these polls are fucked. We saw that with the shoplifting poll awhile back.

I'm with Heidi - I wouldn't vote for him, and I think it's our responsibility to question authority.
Re: Hilary being ultra-liberal: actually, her problem with many Democrats is that she is not liberal enough - she is very pro-war with Iraq, which has alienated many Dem supporters.
It's true, but I think a lot of people see her as an ultra liberal figure, if you listen to right wing TV or radio, they paint her as an ultra liberal, meanwhile the people who would be her base don't feel she's liberal enough.
I'm "Left of Lenin", but I would back a Democratic Moderate, just to get a Dem in office, and hopefully regain some momentum.
