If you do not have a mother or mother in law to throw you a shower....
who is throwing it for you? a friend? sister-in-law? are you giving them the $$ to do it? i am in a "weird" situation

I do have a MIL but my mom is deceased.
By brother is actually the one who did the most. He really took it upon himself to make sure I had a great shower. He did have help from his wife, my 1 cousin, and my MIL.
I believe (99.9% sure) my dad and MIL split the cost.
And my Dad, brother, and a few of my dad's friends actually attended and hung out at the restaurant bar.

Honestly, my MIL is overseas and my own mom is not planning it with me.
Im planning the whole thing, unconventional BUT if I wanted a shower this was my only option. Plus, I didnt have a bridal shower so I wasnt about to miss it.
Can you and your hubby plan it together? OR maybe a friend?
