if you go to Three Village Women's Health...
who delivered your babies? or who will?
I had Soviero the first time (loved her) but she since left.
How was your experience? I know they added that new doc.

What is the new doc's name? Dr. Schoenfeld delivered my baby. I went to that practice specifically for Dr. Droesch but it all worked out fine.

Yeah, I just figured out from an online search. It looks like he went to Stony Brook University Physicians. It's sort of weird to me because I believe that he and Dr. Spicer and Dr. Davenport built the practice. I like the practice but I do think that some things have changed since they added the Patchogue location.

I saw Droesch at University Physicians and did not like him at all. He gave up OB and now is GYN only.

I saw Droesch @ Three Village and also hated him. SO glad he left! Dr. Schoenfeld was awesome, he was supposed to deliver me but got stuck doing a c-section, so I was delivered by the on-call OB. I wish I could remember her name, she was fantastic!

wow..... I only saw him once last pregnancy and he annoyed me a bit, but I think it was because I was moody.

our of curiosity, was she a redhead? and looked relatively young? i remember one day I went to the hospital and the other practice was on call, and this young woman doctor took care of me and she was awesome and I always remember thinking I'd go to her if I ever needed a new OBGYN. But, of course, I forgot her name.

Re: if you go to Three Village Women's Health...
Well I only had to see him once thank goodness but he was a total d0uche to me, and totally went against what Dr. Shoenfeld told me (Dr. S said I could go to 41+ weeks if baby was healthy, Dr. D wanted to scheduled me for a repeat C at 39 weeks even though I was a VBAC patient). It wasn't like I was trying to make medical decisions on my own, I had the backing of two OBs in the SAME practice and he argued with me and gave me an attitude. I would not have wanted him in the delivery room with me, moody or not!

No, she was a brunette at the time (last March) but she was on the young side, no older than 35 I would say.
ETA: I do remember she had a unique name, it wasn't common at all.

Re: if you go to Three Village Women's Health...
Awwhh I loved Droesch!! I guess I am the only one. LOL.. He may have a weird sense of humour but he is a great Surgeon. He was my moms DR. 11 years ago and did all her surgerys. We both liked him. He was so good to me. And I thought it was great he came in to see me a few days later to tell me & DH that my DD was beautiful and that this is what makes his job so wonderful he even said I may joke around a lot but honestly this is what makes me smile at the end of the day... Awwhh.. I will miss him! I also love Schoenfeld he is Great!! Schoenfeld is so sweet and he just delivered my SIL baby.

Re: if you go to Three Village Women's Health...
I normally see Dr. Shoenfeld. Love me some Dr. S
BUT- when I went into labor Dr. Porte (from stony brook obgyn?) was on call for the group and delivered my baby. I was kind of upset at first - but he did awesome and when I saw Dr. Kaebler the next day she told me he delivered all her kids.
I really love the entire practice.

Dr. Shoenfeld was suppose to deliver, but Dr. Davenport ended up delivering. She was awesome!! I was seen by the whole practice and my favorites were Kaelber and Davenport.

I saw them all during my pregnancy but when I went into labor no one was on call and I had a ob from a totally different practice deliver my DS.
His name was Dr. Porte
I am thinking of switching to his practice now.

Re: if you go to Three Village Women's Health...
I go to Three Village Woman's Health, but when I went into labor no one from the practice was on call. They work with SBOBGYN & Dr. Welischar actually delivered our DS. I didn't care for her bedside manner, but she apparently was a rockstar at c-sections because everyone was overly impressed with my incision.

There is no way you are the only one!!!! Dr. Droesch is one of the best surgeons around and I interviewed almost all of the surgeons on LI!!!! I had fibroid surgery and he is known for his skill at that. However, I only started to use him after my surgery. My surgeon stopped taking my insurance and Dr. Droesch took over the follow up. Dr. Droesch was the medical school professor who had trained my surgeon and many of the ones who did their residencies at Stony Brook. Maybe I liked him because I was warned about his dry sense of humor. My friend who used him for surgery told me that Dr. Droesch's sense of humor is just like her husband's. I knew that her husband can be very sarcastic. I love the fact that Dr. Droesch will speak to me using medical terms, not as if I am only on a need to know basis about my own body. A lot of people have trouble getting and staying pregnant after fibroid surgery, but my friend who used Dr. Droesh had 2 successful pregnancies and I used the Dr. he trained and I had one successful pregnancy (and have never tried for another).

You know, after reading your reply, that was exactly why I didn't like him, but I could see what you mean> I saw him with a similar issue, and he told me I might need what sounded like a gooberectomy. A gooberectomy I said? He giggled and said yeah, goober, and left. So I was left googling gooberectomy and contemplating what he meant.

Re: if you go to Three Village Women's Health...
I loved that practice..up until labor. I originally had Sorviero until she left.
I really appreciated Kaelber as she was very proactive and understanding of my situation (high risk). She was definitely made me feel taken care of.
Schoenfield, I did like but there was something about him that made me hope he wasn't on call at delivery time.
I was hoping for Droesch to deliver my baby but he wasn't on call. I LOVED his dry sense of humor, he was the only Dr that actually intelligently answered my questions without giving me just a blasai summary.
Davenport...well her credentials were the reason I originially picked that center. After seeing 3 people in the office (one dr, 2 nurses) who all incorrectly diagnosed a skin issue (they thought was PUPS) she called it on the dot and it was something only a dermotolgist would know...I was so impressed. I didnt need to run around taking tests at 38 weeks (though they had me at 36). Thats where my huge problem was. One of those classic cases of I know when I conceived but they went off of LMP even though I didn't have a 28 day cycle. My last 2 weeks were torture (prodromal labor). My first DC was induced and this office did not want to induce me until I was their version of 37 weeks. When I had my show..Davenport met me at the hosp (she was on call) and said she would have sent me home but the hosp already admitted. I was so peeved at her. Finally just before her shift ended she offered to induce me so she could be the delivering Dr, or else the other group was taking over. I said no thank you (I went this far in the last 2 torturous w/o her help). 2 Hours later I had my baby by Dr Megan Lochner!! And she was excellent. My baby was born WHITE, scaly and all dried out, three different attending ped's said she looked like a 41 weeker, they even asked me if I was over-term and it was all documented.
I love the practice but I was very irked that they don't listen to the patient, especially when they are suffering.

I love Dr.Droesch too! I was specifically referred to the practice because of him by another surgeon. I had a difficult pregnancy and he was right on top of everything. Dr. Soviero wound up delivering Brady.
Did anyone else see Meghan Loechner as an on call dr? She's young, but I LOVED her. I'm considering switching to her practice now that Dr Droesch left.
