Lisa - it really depends what it is that you're looking to do while you're there.
well .... it is my anniversary! Kidding. I have to speak to DH more about it. I was looking to go to London, he wants to go to Italy. We may just be going to dinner and scratch these plans all together, we'll see

IMO, if you want to do a LOT of sightseeing in 4 days, London would be the way to go.
Out of Milan, London, Rome, and Venice, here's how I'd rate them based on having 4 days to spend in ONE location, with the intention of doing LOTS of sightseeing:
1. London 2. Rome 3. Venice 4. Milan
