I agree with you. We were hoping for twins. They run in my husbands family. There's several identicals and I think one set of paternal.

I agree with you. We were hoping for twins. They run in my husbands family. There's several identicals and I think one set of paternal.
I felt the same way twin boy and girl and I'm done!!
Now fast forward to now actually being pregnant I hoping and praying to god it is a single child. Not sure if I can handle 2 right now.

No Way Jose !! One baby at a time please !!
I give all the credit (and awe) in the workd to women who carry, deliver and then CARE FOR multiples ........
ONE baby has to be enough work, now, add another doing the exact same things at the exact same age, needing the same amount of attention, giving you the same aggravation - etc etc .........And I don't just mean when they're babies ........
When they go to school
Go to the prom
Go to college
etc etc etc .........I am seriously in awe of parents who have twins .....it just seems like SO much more work !!

I was originally pregnant with twins, but am carrying a singleton now.
Of course all we want is a healthy and happy baby, but I know deep in our hearts we are hoping when we go back to do another embryo transfer next year, that both embies take and stick.

Just one at a time for me please! Of course I would be grateful to have multiples, but I would definately prefer one at a time. I'm scared of what it would be like caring for twins especially in the early weeks. I give a lot of credit to moms of multiples!

Your likelihood of having twins has nothing to do with your DH's family.
I certainly wouldn't mind multiples, but I'm quite happy having one at a time.

twins need to run in the girls side of the family....you are the one releasing 2 eggs, not the man.
Identical tiwns are NOT hereditary.

I would choose twins. Mostly because we want 3-4 kids, and I'm already 30, almost 31.

Well, I am carrying twins and am very excited, but also very overwhelmed with the thought of two of everything. Since I haven't a singleton, I can't really compare.

I was in the same situation as you AND felt the same way while I was pregnant (about hoping for twins next time around). However, after going through delivery and now having a newborn I can NOT imagine doing this with two  I told DH if we have a FET we will only put one back!!! I give moms of twins a LOT of credit

I'm due with twins in another week or two, never in my life did i ever wish or want twins until i got pregnant with them. I thought having one was a handful, two is really going to be absolutely crazy. I think the next year or two of my life is going to just be pure chaos but its exciting.

Being the mother of a newborn singleton, it is very hard with just one. I am sure I would rise above and be fine with twins but it would be a struggle for me.

one is fine for me. Im nervous enought about just him, toss another or two in the mix and I could totally go crazy! I give MASSIVE props to those with twins, trips. You guys are good.

There's no history of multiples in my family, but since I took Clomid and had 3 good follies, there was a chance that I'd have multiples.
I was secretly hoping for twins, but now with all of these back problems I've had, it's probably a good thing that I'm only having one!

Same for me. I never even thought of twins let alone wished for them, but here I am pg with twins. It's exciting, but it will be quite a ride.

Going through the whole Infertility process i was hoping for twins. Now being pregnant and the complications and Pain im having i cant say that twins is something i could handle. My anxiety level is already on the rise about having just one and making sure I do everything right with that one. Maybe next time since it run in the family
