Well, I am carrying twins and am very excited, but also very overwhelmed with the thought of two of everything. Since I haven't a singleton, I can't really compare.
I totally agree. I am 5 months preg. with twins. Extremely nervous and overwhelmed but I think I would feel the same way with one. My sister had twins so I saw how hard it was but she had a baby prior. She always says, you won't know any better b/c they're your first and second.

i really wanted twins since we are older and then i would only be pregnant once LOL
im happy with my one DS though

In theory, I would have loved a twin pregnancy. 1 pregnancy and all done but taking care of them afterwards is a whole different story. Probably not when I think about it!
It was rough enough recovering with a c-section and BFing with DS afterwards.
I give all the credit to moms with twins.

Let me preface my response with I LOVE LOVE LOVE MY DAUGHTER...
I will answer this thread with....
Thank God she was a singleton... I have always wished for twins.... Wanted it so bad it hurt.
After having had my daughter.... I AM SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO THANKFUL!
I had a miserable pregnancy with my daughter... I was sick for the first 4 months, and then after that had hemorrhoids which had their own hemorrhoids. Sciatica was acting up.... I never stretched (at 9 months I looked like some 4 month preggos look) so she hurt me treacherously... I just didn't enjoy pregnancy at all!
Then you talk about the work that's involved?

twins in a heartbeat. then i would only have to get pregnant one more time for a third!
Plus, I have lots of experience with twins, since my sisters are twins and almost 11 years younger than me!

I had some control over this because I did IVF to get PG. DH and I chose to put back only 1 embryo because we did not want multiples.
