If you have a Costco Membership
Which card do you have? Gold Star or Executive?
We are a family of 2 w/2 dogs. We just bought our home and plan to have a kid (hopefully) in the next year. We have things to buy for the house and I plan on do the majority of food & house hold item shopping there. I can easily see myself spending about $500 there a month. Is the executive worth it? We wont use them for insurance or the health care.
If you do have the Executive, why does it work for you?
TIA?

Re: If you have a Costco Membership
We just signed up for the Executive, last year we spent enough on the regular membership that we could have gotten a rebate check.
So, we upgraded.

Re: If you have a Costco Membership
i have had the excutive for 5 years i always get a rebate that makes it cheaper to have exuctive- up untill two years ago it was just me and my dh
we have bought a tv there
also my mom borrows my card all the time and as long as she pays cash there is no problem - you can get two cards and you can give one to another family member then they can use a credit card if there name is on it

Re: If you have a Costco Membership
We upgraded to executive about a year ago and the reward checks have paid for it. Well worth it!

Re: If you have a Costco Membership
if you go executive and get at least 50 bucks back a year, you would be breaking even if you compare it to the regular price of a membership.
1st year of our home, we got back like 150 bucks

What is different about the Executive, just the rebate checks?
I opened the Costco AMEX - and get rebate checks from that. And regular purchases go towards the rebate, not just Costco purchases.

Re: If you have a Costco Membership
We are executive...The rebate check basically wipes out the cost of the membership for us which is worth it...

The only other thing I can think of off the top of my head, is that there are special membership hours I beleive for executive members (I think they open an hour early on certain days and serve pastries and coffee)
