If you have oily skin/hair do you shower at night? And...

If you do what do you use in your hair the next morning so it doesn't get oily? I've always been a morning showerer but tried showering at night last night to save time in the morning and ugh my hair was oily by 11am (and I showered at 11 last night)! I'd love to make this work... any tricks or will I forever be a morning showerer? I envy dry-haired people!

I find that using a blow dryer will make my hair less greasy (more dry)
If I air dry my hair, it looks greasy after an hour of washing.

Don't know if you are using a blow dryer or not.

Maybe spray it with some dry shampoo in the morning to absorb the excess oil?
I heard that works wonders...

I can't do it. My hair is just too oily the next day, so if I do shower at night, I will need to wash my hair in the morning anyway. Defeats the purpose of the night shower, but at least I can shave my legs and get all that other time consuming stuff out of the way.

I actually slept on it wet and then brushed through it with a wet brush in the morning (it was still damp too) and blow dryed it. Maybe I should blow dry it at night?

I have really oily hair, i have to wash it every morning.

Even when i get a blowout at the salon, i have to wash the next day.

It stinks...i am waiting for it to be less oily but it hasnt dried out in the slightest.

If i showered at night, i would be an oil slick by noon as well

Yes, do blow dry it at night. Sleeping on a wet head makes hair look greasy (I know from experiance)

On a side note, I have tried a friend's dry shampoo one morning when I spent the night at her house & it's a powder that is suppossed to absorb oil but the powder left dandruff looking flakes in my hair.

I have very oily hair and when I was working I showered at night. You need to also blow dry your hair at night as well. In the morning, I would just go over messed up areas with my flat iron really quickly.

take a palm full of baby powder and rub it onto your scalp.

sometimes dry shampoo is too much for me.

give it a try - it works.

I kind of wrap my hair before I sleep on it. I blow it out at night, do this pinning thing and then wrap a silk scarf around. Saves me SO much time in the morning. Then, I just wash my face.

I wash my hair and then blow it out HUGE, like Diana Ross hair LOL and then I sleep on it. In the morning I just straighten the ends with the flat iron.

I get a few days out of it! Actually, more days than I care to admit. Chat Icon

Try not to condition your hair by the roots. I also shampoo my hair twice before conditioning the ends.
Another thing I did notice and a lot of girls have said is try to blow dry your hair. If you leave it wet and especially sleep with it wet, it typically comes out flatter and oilier for me in the morning. I hope that helps!

I use this brand in the powder form.

I have long hair- saves time and damage.

I take shower at night, work out in am

and take another shower. Wash hair

everyother day.
