Once a year. Although during my last visit in May, the doctor said that the recommendations may be changing to every 3 years if no irregularities.

it is supposed to be annually, however they are trying to change it to every three years which i think is a big mistake

I have always gone for a gyn visit on a yearly basis. It's been almost a year so not sure if the rules have changed as another poster is suggesting. I've never had an abnormal pap.

Every two years. That's what they suggest in Australia. I'm in Germany now, but I last had it done in Australia. I think in the UK it is every three years.

before i was married, my doctor wanted me in every 6 months but since i've been married he said just to come once annually (unless of course i have suspicion of infidelity)

Annually -- I did have one doctor who suggested every 6 months and the office called me for a 6 month appt. When I asked why they said it's not necessary but if I felt like it? Sounded like they wanted extra money or something.. I wasn't happy anyway so I changed practices. This doctor said "See you next year!"

Annually.
When I was on LI, they made me go every 6 months, but only did the pap once a year. I think it was a money making thing...

When I was on the pill I had to go every 6 months for a Pap. Now that I'm not, it's once a year.
