If you have taken a break

and by break I mean more than 3 months of not doing fertility treatments, taking medications, no Dr.'s appointments, etc. Can you please FM me? I have some "how did you handle it?" questions.

ETA: Thanks ladies for responding and for the girls via FM. I've been on a couple forced breaks after losses but am contemplating taking a real break. I need a lap this cycle so I guess DH and I will make that decision after the lap procedure and results.

i had to take a break - it was from march 8 until july 2

i was put on lupron for my endo which put me in a menopause state for 5 months.

I am currently on a break.
After the 6th failed IUI I needed a break.
We will be switching ins in Oct and moving on to IVF so I will be on a break until then.

iit may be slightly different but i've had a few breaks between losses. the biggest was after our loss in 09 we needed to take 3 months off from ttc and then again after my ectopic. although we weren't doing fertility treatments at the time. please feel free to FM me if you need anything or have any questions

We are on break since April and planning on starting IVF in Sept. Originally it was only going to be a month break after my hysteroscopy, but later decided to take another couple of months off. After more than 2.5 years of TTC, countless doctors appts, failed IUI’s, 2 laps, etc we knew we needed some time off. At first it felt wrong and that we were going backwards, but my RE made us come in and talk about the next steps. He made us realize that there is no going backwards, he knows enough about my system and what the next game plan is. He agreed and thought it was a good idea, he would rather us be “relaxed” and charged up for the next round. We plan on starting IVF in Sept, hopefully we will have no more setbacks, because this will be our 3rd attempt of trying to start IVF. FM with any questions, complaints or just to vent.

I definitely am on break! I started for one reason and continued for others but lately, I keep re-evaluating where my life is at and my priorities.

I took a break from October - February after my first failed IVF. It was the best thing I ever did. FM me if you have questions.

After nearly 2 1/2 years TTC DS, we are now going on 1 1/2 years TTC #2...we've had two failed IVFs and only insurance money left for one more try. I'm on a break and losing steam

went on a break from march until now,
i have to say it was the scariest thing but truly the best thing for me mentally & physically, it made me feel like "I" had control again not that my "infertility" controlled me......took some great trips with dh, went on some work trips and was able to go to back to the gym, do hot yoga again & feel like a person again, was hoping of course that getting pergnant happened naturally, but no such look, but I am ok with it...im back now and I feel stronger & healthier now than I have in years......its been ann emotional, painful journey at times but this is the path that some of us just have to take......
