If you line of work is servicing people, how do you deal with getting services from other people?
Do you find yourself too picky?
For example, if you are a hairdresser, do you have a hard time having someone else doing your hair? Are you thinking on HOW it should be done and can't relax?

I work in Corporate Event Planning, so all I do all day is service people. That said if I need to be serviced, and only because I'm so anal, my motto is "If I want something done right, do it myself"

I am the worst person to go to a restaurant to. I was a very tough manager when I worked in that industry & am very critical. However, if I get good service, the tips are very generous & I will tell the service staff as well as the manager that I enjoyed my experience.
Now that I think about it....we went to a restaurant together.....was I good that night or was I snarky?

I just love the term "servicing people". It sounds so risque!!!
I have been in the service industry since I was 16. I've hosted, waited tables, managed, once I even cooked and bartended. I am critical, but I also know that sometimes things aren't the servers fault. I try to give the benefit of the doubt. I will say that typically in NYC I find that the service stinks! Maybe its because they are all actors.
