If you make your own croutons...
Do you store extras? How long do they store for?
I always make them on an "as needed" basis, but I have a bunch of stale bread that I was thinking of making some with but didnt know if I could store them, how to store them, and how long to store them.
TIA!

Re: If you make your own croutons...
I made a mistake the first time I tried to store them... I put them right into a Ziploc baggie before they were totally cooled. Result? Soggy croutons. :(
Wait until they are TOTALLY COOL! Then I wrap them in wax paper and put them in a Ziploc. You could probably use a Tupperware instead of Ziploc. My girlfriend uses a mason jar for hers.
ETA: Mine have never made it past a week in storage because I put them in soups and salads when I know I have them.
