Which one do you have and are you happy with it? Any issues with it? Even if it's the tiniest thing that you are unhappy with please let me know... I really want one for Christmas and I want to make sure I'm happy with it!!

I think you've seem my thousand posts on the Parenting website...but I'll weigh in anyway...

Nikon D70 with a 300mm lens.

Thrilled with it. If you want me to send you my Favorites album with photos I've taken with it, FM me your email address. Only issue is it's heavy to carry around but a lighterweight camera that can't take good shots is just a waste in my opinion. I guess the other issue is price. The body of the camera without the lens was $1K+ when I bought it - it's now selling for $ 749.95 for the body.

You may want to opt for a zoom lens since you're taking shots of Jake.

Thank you - I was wondering which one you had and the D70 is the one I was interested in most so far. But you are right, I've seen your awesome pictures so no doubt there that the quality is great.

Any issues with speed on it at all?

No shutter is instantaneous - as for sports shots - he's 4 so he's not moving THAT fast but here's a shot.

We have a Canon Digital Rebel SLR. We love it! It takes amazing pictures. I also have a Canon Powershot digital (not SLR) and love it too. I think Canon makes great digital cameras.
