If you thought you were a bad mommy.... guess what I did this morning!
I put DS in his carseat, put a blanket over him, put carseat in the car, drove to daycare. When I tried to unbuckle DS, I realize I never buckled him. He was just sitting in the carseat. I think I got distracted while putting him in the carseat and "forgot" to do it.
I feel horrible! Thanksfully nothing happen but keep thinking "what if".

I've done that too I also drove around for a few days with the seat unlatched!!! It never appeared loose and didn't move around so I didn't notice. I had no idea my DH disconnected the seat to drop the seat for some reason. He forget to reconnect it. I never wanted to hurt someone so bad before!!
Thank goodness he was ok and don't be so hard on yourself. Now you will always remember to check.

I did that once also...going from my mom's to my sisters...I buckled the check strap, but not the 2 parts that get buckled in by the crotch.
Doesn't make you a bad mommy...we've all been there

I did that once. I was getting mikayla ready to go, put her in her car seat, put the car seat in the car and drove down the block, I then remembered I had never strapped her in

I did it too when my DS was 4 months old. I was driving home on the LIE at 70 mph in the HOV lane coming back from Tanger with my sister, when I looked in my rear view mirror and saw him unbuckled  Thankfully my sister was with me and she got into the back seat and secured him.

Same for me, but not only was he unbuckled (I realized on our way to mall and DH pulled over on the Watagh) we also had the convertible carseat installed incorrectly
