It's happened to me more than once. The last time, Marron turned around in her seat to face me (she is still rear-facing) and said "Hi Mommy!"

I did that once also! Someone else had loaded him into the car - and for some reason I thought they would buckle him in. They didn't - and I didn't even check. Thank god nothing happened. It's so scary though once you realize it!

Don't beat yourself up! I haven't done this yet ... but ... I've had plenty of other "mommy moments."

my son kept yelling "scared" i couldn't figure out what he was scared about until we got out of the car!

happened to us once too, luckily i noticed after a couple blocks and pulled right over
dont be too hard on yourself, i am sure it has also happened to many other people
